This is put on by the NY Road Runners. www.NYRR.org Apr 17th - Dr Stuart Weitzman will be speaking at the Fox Lane High School Wellness Day for the 4th time. Apr 20th - Adidas Run for the Parks 4M/Kids Races 4M: 9:00 a.m., Kids Races: 8:00 a.m. / Central Park, New York. This is put on by the NY Road Runners. www.NYRR.org Apr 27th - The Leatherman's Loop in Ward Pound Ridge Reservation Cross River, NY "A unique trail run featuring two river crossings, a quarry climb, beautiful pine forests, swamp land, and the legend of the Leatherman. This race has it all, fun, dirt, mess and a 6+ mile challenge. It is a huge race that is a lot of fun. A portion of the entry fee goes to the park and a charitable donation the Leatherman Harriers . The field is capped at 900, so you if cannot race come out and check out this "unique" race. www.leathermansloop.org Mar 30th - Scotland Run - Sunday, March 30 / Central Park, New York / 10:00 a.m. / 10K (6.2 Miles) This is put on by the NY Road Runners. www.NYRR.org Mar 16th - The 24th Annual St Patrick's Day 10K or 2 Mile Race @10 AM - FDR Park, Yorktown. This is a fun day and has a great distance to get your race year started (2 miles). Come one Come all. I will be there as well as some friends and practice members. Dec 9th - Jingle Bell Jog in Greenwich, CT. A 5K road race through Bedford Village. A great village event for runners and their families. I am one of the proud sponsors and I will be running. A new physical challenge program that gives students the opportunity to learn about blood cancers, the importance of living a healthy life style while collecting funds for their physical efforts. This program goes along with NY State Education Standards of integrating Health, Physical Education and Family and Consumer Science classes. This is in conjunction with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Oct 31st - Bedford Hills Chamber of Commerce is having trick or treating at some of the local businesses for children. Oct 27th - Bedford Hills Chamber of Commerce is having a Jack o' Lantern festival in the hamlet for children. Oct 21st - The first annual Where the Pavement Ends Road Race. This race is put on from the people that brought us the Leatherman Loop. It is a 5 mile race starting and ending at the John Jay homestead. Proceeds from the race will go to support the John Jay Homestead Carriage Barn Campaign as well as Westchester Land Trust and the Bedford Riding Lanes Association. http://www.thepavementends.org/ I am a sponsor there to stretch people prior to the race and I will be running as well!!! Oct 7th - Westchester Marathon Festival. http://www.westchestermarathon.com/ Sept 29th - Katonah Fall Festival and 5K Road Race. Put together by Katonah Chamber of Commerce.
